A few days ago, have been successfully carried out the official sea trials of the H 6078 “Giannutri”, a Supramax Bulk Carrier.
The vessel, sistership of “Montecristo”, was commissioned by the Italian Shipowner “D’Alesio Group” of Livorno. She is built at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, South Korea, under MES on site technical supervision on behalf of the Shipowner.
The ship, having a deadweight of about 56000 Dwt, has five holds with a total cargo capacity of over 71000 cbm. The holds, served by four cranes, are suitable to carry coal, iron ore, grain, steel rolls and other product of B and C type (IMSBC Code).
During speed trials, the contractual service speed of 14.5 knots was achieved at NCR condition (80 % MCR) at nearly 8000 kW and 115 rpm. The main engine is a MAN B&W, 6S50MC-C type, able to develop a maximum power of nearly 10000 kW at 127 rpm.
