A constant activity in the model tank to research the best hull forms allows to reduce drastically the fuel consumption, ensuring to the Shipowner a daily fuel savings.
The experience gained in over 25 years of activity and compared worldwide with on-site presence allow to acquire greater knowledge and to constantly improve the standards of production.
Thanks also its constant spirit of innovation and its efforts in the research, (the latest about ballast treatment system and LNG propulsion, etc…), today MES plays an international leadership role in the high-tech ship design field.
Thanks to the experience accumulated in the gas field, we are currently studying innovative propulsion solutions based on the use of LNG.
LNG BUNKER VESSELS
The increasing interest in the gas propulsion imposes the need for adequate LNG supplies. LNG barges are one of the proposed solutions.
BALLAST TREATMENT SYSTEM
Works in progress to research the best alternative to be offered to Customers. For new ships as well as for re-fitting on existing ships.
In the last year has been developed the Loading Instrument in accordance with the latest stringent Regulations (IACS URL L5) and interfaced with the ship’s automation through the various existing communication protocols.
Assistance is provided for the preparation of the new Manuals Ship-to-Ship transfer and Emergency Towing System requested respectively by “IMO Resolution MEPC.186(59), Annex I, Chapter 8 of MARPOL 73/78” and “IMO Resolution MSC.256(84), SOLAS Ch II-1, Regulation 3-4”.
