In these days, MES has delivered to the Shipowner Costa Crociere the scantling drawings necessary to carry out the structural modifications involved in the refitting of Costa Romantica.
The Shipowner decided in fact to perform a modernization process which provides mainly the increase of the number of cabins and a new arrangement of some common areas in order to adapt them to the current market needs.
Costa Romantica, built in 1993 by the Italian Shipyard Fincantieri, is a passenger ship having a length overall of about 219 m, a GT of 53000 and a service speed of 18.5 knots.
