On February the 5th at SEATEC 2013, ATENA – Ascomac Unimot proposed (on the opening day) a technical Workshop on the ”Use of LNG in naval systems: prospects, issues, opportunities” focusing on the use of LNG in the industry and in the various aspects concerned with the design of new ships. The topics dealt with concerned the design and construction of ships with gas propulsion systems, hybrid marine engines, energy savings and the reduction of emissions as well as safety and the environmental impact.
Ing. Marco La Valle, M.E.S. representative, discussed about the characteristics and the problems of the LNG propulsion for new and existing ships.
