We are pleased to inform that today has been successfully carried out, at Besiktas Shipyard in Turkey, the Launching Ceremony of the LPG Carrier H. 10 “Scali del Pontino”. The vessel, ordered by the Italian Shipowner Gas&Heat Shipping and designed by MES of Trieste, is the seventh of a series of eight ships.

The ship is a fully refrigerated / semi-pressurized type with a minimum operating temperature of -48 °C and a maximum operating pressure of 10 barg. The cargo containment system consists of two independent, self supporting, cylindrical tanks. She is equipped with a Wartsila main engine, 6L26A2 type, having a nominal power of 1950 kW. Thanks to the optimization of the hull, the ship is capable of achieving a speed of about 14.2 knots at 90% MCR with 15% of sea margin. The ships, having a cargo capacity of 3300 cbm, are designed and equipped as ocean going for a world wide trading.
